The Cochrane review of childhood obesity prevention research (Dec. 2011) includes 55 studies, the majority targeted children aged 6-12 years at school and in the community, and aimed to determine the effectiveness of evaluated interventions intended to prevent obesity in children, assessed by change in Body Mass Index.
