"We did this last year with Year 8 and 10 and was incredibly useful. It is WELL worth doing and so useful to inform PSHE planning. The safeguarding audit team were delighted that we had done it. The findings are so so interesting.
"The findings are really comprehensive and range from what percentage of year 8 have breakfast in the morning to how many have tried this particular drug, to identity, health and sleep patterns, mental health, citizenship issues....
"It's essential for the PSHE and pastoral curriculum."

SHEU's work
Our work helps support public health teams across the country in getting the views and opinions of young people in their area and to report on the challenges young people face today.
There are many other elements of work within the Unit that contribute to the successful reporting of students questionnaires. The successful applicant will also be asked to support these other tasks from time to time. This also offers lots of opportunities for the applicant to develop as we continue to develop our processes and research into young peoples health and well being.
