Young people, sleep problems and school management

Young people, sleep problems and school management

"Many teenagers do not believe they are getting enough sleep to remain alert at school and stay healthy, research suggests. It reveals girls are more concerned about their sleeping habits than boys, and that youngsters are more likely to say they are not getting enough as they get older."

The journal, Education and Health, will be publishing articles about research into school management of young people with a lack of sleep.
In September, the journal will publish a number of articles about research in Australia, USA and GB.
Also available will be the results of a literature search into school-based interventions, sleep problems and young people.

Please contact David McGeorge if you have been involved in or are aware of research into UK school-based interventions aimed at pupils with insufficient sleep.
